Thu, April 2, 2009 - 11:37 PMWell I saw that abomination on Mythbusters. I think they might have made something work if they'd kept with it for a few more days. A machinegun is a black powder 'engine' of sorts; all ya gotta do is make one that doesn't kill people and add a crankshaft, yes? :-) -

Sat, April 4, 2009 - 2:20 PMWhen I was in the air force the B-52s had a thing called cartridge start. It was basicly a Black Powder powered turbine that would
spin up the main engine so you could start it. really nasty and lots of smoke, it was for emergency use i.e. getting off the ground fast during
attack.
